The descent
The legend buried in marble
“Do not look back” — Orpheus’ final command is an invitation to everyone crossing the Trigrad Gorge.
The festival returns the myth to its mountain home through music, ritual and open-air encounters.
Legend says Orpheus descended to the underworld through Devil’s Throat Cave to plead for Eurydice. The gorge and cave remain the living stage of this story.
“Orphic Mysteries” does not tell this myth from afar. The two days bring together local ritual, craft, mountain paths and voices from Bulgaria and Greece.
